Back to Lucketts

I really wanted to get some photos of the Old Lucketts Store, so this afternoon I made another visit with my camera in hand. Here is the "garden of urns" in the yard outside.
Inside the store, there were bracelets made from the keys of old typewriters.

Look, something shiny! The silver was dazzling.

These old cross stitch pieces made me smile. I love the saying on the top picture: "Who ran to help me when I fell, and would some pretty story tell? My MOTHER"
You know if there was any moss around I had to take its picture. This "moss" ball was actually made from a chenille fabric (no sneezing!) The saying on the sign is also great: "We do not remember the days. We remember the moments." That's almost as good as my personal favorite: "The days are long but the years are short."

My heart beats fast for these two prints. Wouldn't they be cute in a dining room or butler's pantry (not that I have one, but oh well.)

I must have really liked these moss balls, because here's yet another picture. They're even laying on a mossy mat (also fake but tastefully so.)

These topiaries were quite large and were decorated with black and white striped ribbon.

This room in the store was my favorite! The wreath was called Sprouted Grass.

More greenery and a huge metal light fixture. {Click on the photos for more detail.}

These boxwood balls were beautiful on the silver urns. The finial was made of mercury glass.
I'm so glad I went back, and have started saving up for a Spring shopping spree!
